Uniform parade in Jakarta

For the inauguration of the Galeries Lafayette in Jakarta, the store organized a young fashion designers competition with 1,800 participants. There were 5 finalists and the two lucky winners were given a return Jakarta- Paris ticket on Air France to attend the fashion parades in September at the Galeries Lafayette in Paris. Air France took part in the event by organizing a parade of past and present uniforms highlighting the uniform designers of the past 80 years.

Air France flag of 1930

In Summer 2011, an Air France flag dating from the early '30s from the island of Kastelorizo where there was a sea landing port for seaplanes had been given to our delegation by Ms. Kallimopoulou (whose father was an Air France representative on the island in the years 1928-1935) who had found the flag in a warehouse family and kindly sent it to us.
