The National School of Civil Aviation

This government training institute is tuition-free but admission is based on the results of an entrance exam. To join Air France, trainees who have followed and passed Enac's "airline student pilot" programme then take Air France selection tests.

The military pathway

Different training programmes are offered by the French air force, the naval air force and the French army’s light aviation division (Alat). At the end of their contract in their respective armies, pilots can submit an application to Air France just like any professional pilot.

The self-taught route

It is possible to obtain the different pilot certificates and licenses by yourself in private schools. However, this is an expensive route which you have to pay for yourself.
