A modern and rationalized fleet

At 30 September 2009, the Air France fleet consisted of 410 aircraft in operation including 154 belonging to regional subsidiaries. The average lifespan of these aircraft is 9.9 years (8 years for the long-haul fleet and 10.5 years for the medium-haul fleet), making it one of the most modern and most rational fleets in the business.

Fleet management flexibility is the deciding factor when opting for either aircraft purchasing or leasing
