“ This year, Air France is celebrating its 80th anniversary, making it one of the longest-established airlines in Europe, and its passion for air travel is undimmed.

The Air France Foundation is also one of the longest-established corporate foundations, providing financial help to non-profit organisations and NGOs working tirelessly to facilitate the social development and integration of children and young people. Because it is a long-standing body, the Foundation can take the long view. Over the past twenty-one years, some 959 projects have been selected for Foundation funding in France and around the world. All these projects, big or small, have served the cause of childhood and youth.

Air France can, therefore, be justly proud of having been a pioneer in this field, alongside other corporations.

A key feature of the Air France Foundation is that it is rooted in the social fabric of the Company. Staff always answer the call. They sponsor projects and, through their many volunteering initiatives, provide their know-how and skills on a daily basis. This strong participatory commitment grows in strength year by year, demonstrating that the cause it promotes is close to the heart of Company staff.

In spite of the crises, of the ups and downs of the economic climate to which our industry is particularly prone, Air France has shown that it is a responsible Company, attentive to the world around it, and desirous of helping to make it a better place. ”
