The flight schedule at Paris-Charles de Gaulle is organized in 6 connecting banks (or timespans), each of which consists in a wave of flight arrivals and departures, staggered throughout the day to offer passengers a maximum number of connections in as short a time as possible.
Today Paris-CDG is Europe’s most efficient airport with nearly 24,000 weekly connecting opportunities in under two hours in both directions.
A regular shuttle service between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam-Schiphol
A hubway, i.e. 15 regular daily flights, links the two hubs, Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam-Schiphol. The coordinated Air France and KLM network is thus able to offer customers a choice of 225 destinations.
Paris-CDG connecting the Air France network to the TGV network
Air France also draws customers with air/rail connections thanks to the location of the Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport station in its hub. This station is served by the high-speed TGV service to Brussels as well as the urban express network (RER).
A partnership has been signed between Air France and SNCF (French railways) enabling both companies to offer direct air/rail connections between Paris-CDG and the following cities: Angers, Le Mans, Lille Europe, Lyon-Part-Dieu, Nantes, Poitiers, Tours-Saint-Pierre-des-Corps
