Air France's Regional Network
115 routes
750 daily flights
13% of Air France-KLM's passenger revenues
With 750 daily flights, Metropolitan France has a very dense network: Air France operates 115 routes, including 76 which inter-link the French provinces without going through Paris.
There are 39 direct routes from the Main French cities to and from Paris-CDG or Paris-Orly, so that all the French regions are linked to the rest of the world, not forgetting routes on departure from the French regions via the other connecting hubs of the Air France-KLM group.
For example: Toulouse / New York can be flown via the Paris-CDG, Amsterdam and Lyon hubs.
Paris-Orly airport: a cornerstone of the domestic network
Paris-Orly airport, situated just south of Paris, is the operational base for La Navette flights, which, with departures on the hour or half-hour on the four busiest routes of the domestic network (Paris to Nice, Marseille, Toulouse and Bordeaux), is a considerable commercial asset which is well-appreciated by customers.
In order to save passengers time at the airports concerned, there are dedicated sales counters, check-in desks and boarding gates for La Navette flights. Moreover, the latest check-in time for flights to and from the French regions is just 20 minutes.
In 2008, La Navette carried over 5 million customers.
Terminal 2G at Paris-Charles de Gaulle: linking the French and European regions to the rest of the world
The facilities at terminal 2G were designed especially for regional traffic as part of the of the Air France hub at Paris-Charles de Gaulle, with a connecting rate of around 50%. The flight schedules are adapted to the 6 connecting banks at the hub, to ensure access to the entire Air France and KLM short, medium and long-haul networks.
A new lounge for business customers opened at terminal 2G on 1 April 2009.
