Air France partner of the Paris City Hall Hacking event
On 16 March 2017, the third edition of the Paris City Hall hacking event, of which Air France is a partner, is taking place. This international event, organized by Paris&Co and supported by the City of Paris, brings together innovation players in Paris. 1,040 start-ups, 50 major groups, 200 French and international experts, etc. make up the total 4,000 participants who will work together to create the partnerships of the future.
On this occasion, Air France has announced the launch of its fund-raising accelerator program, in partnership with Skyboard. It offers financial and international development programs on the themes of tourism, transport and technologies to start-ups who have signed a first contract with Air France, putting them in contact with mentors and investors from around the world, via a digital and dedicated event platform.
The company has been involved in an Open Innovation initiative since 2014 (launch of its corporate accelerator Start Tech Factory, a founding member of the Welcome City Lab incubator, partner of French Tech and Business France, etc.). In this capacity, it supports some one hundred start-ups each year, a figure that is currently growing. The company is already implementing several of these projects for its customers, such as Interactive Mobility, an app allowing customers to download entertainment on their tablet before their flight, or Lineberty, an intelligent queue management app for ticket offices that uses a virtual ticket solution.
