Air France and Le Tanneur have brought out 6 new ranges of baggage signed "Air France by Le Tanneur" using names from the aeronautical alphabet: Delta, Echo and Tango for the hardside range, and Fox, Zulu and X-ray for the soft range.

The reputation of a major airline has been combined with the expertise and know-how of a renowned leather goods manufacturer to design and produce a complete baggage collection.

The more lightweight, easier to handle and modular "Air France by Le Tanneur" baggage line is the ultimate original accessory for use in the city or at the airport, available in a range of classic elegant and trendy colours – charcoal grey, white, chocolate, grey, black and cherry red.

Whether you’re going on holiday, making a day–trip or taking off for the weekend, the "Air France by Le Tanneur" cabin or hold baggage items are a must-have for passengers looking for travel serenity and comfort. The capacity of these baggage items varies between 29 and 135 litres and their dimension is suited to all types of travel.

In accordance with the new aviation security rules encompassing the restrictions on carrying liquids in the cabin, the Air France and le Tanneur cabin baggage range comes complete with the mandatory transparent plastic bag.

Another essential feature: the glamorous, shiny Tango range features a TSA-approved padlock system, compliant with North-American customs legislation.

A380 : 1st long-haul flight co-operated by two Airbus and Air France crews

On November 12, the A380 took off from Paris-CDG for the first time with Airbus and Air France flight deck crews and flight attendants at the controls and in the cabin. The A380 destined for Montreal-Trudeau departed with guests and staff from the airline and aircraft manfacturer on board for a flight lasting over seven hours.

The very wide-bodied aircraft will return to Paris on 16 November, piloted by the same crews.

The A380 is continuing its demonstration flights around the world. The ground operating procedures applicable to this aircraft, such as refuelling, cargo loading and passenger disembarkation and boarding will also be tested at Paris-CDG and Montreal-Trudeau. These trials will allow to check the two airports' compatibility with the aircraft.

Air France will be the first European airline to operate the A380, with three aircraft to be brought into operation during spring 2009.
