This summer, Air France is available to assist you before, during and after your trip. The Company has adopted a proactive communication approach to facilitate your holiday travel preparations. With mobile apps, social media and brand new services, Air France has adopted the latest technologies to keep its customers informed in real time.

Air France goes digital

New on airfrance.com

Purchase your ticket, manage your booking and find lots of useful information about your trip on the airfrance.com site, also available as a mobile app (http://mobile.airfrance.com). This summer, new features have been added to the site.

Where and when to travel at the lowest fare?

On the www.airfrance.com site, a new app allows you to search for a destination at attractive prices and compare offers. This new tool, accessible via the “best offers and promotions” and “purchase a ticket” sections also allows you to connect via your Facebook account and select a destination according to the whereabouts of your friends*.

*only available from the www.airfrance.fr site

Chat live with an agent

Accessible from the “contact us” section, the new “click to chat” function allows you to chat directly with an Air France agent on line before finalizing your ticket purchase. This system is also available for disabled passengers who wish to talk with a SAPHIR agent. It is particularly useful for deaf and hearing-impaired customers who can pose their questions simply and easily.

Easy boarding with Passbook

Over the past few days, the Air France* iPhone app has been compatible with Passbook. Like an electronic wallet, Passbook allows you to store your boarding pass in a dedicated location in your iPhone, as well as discount coupons, movie tickets, etc.  When you check in via the Air France app, you receive your boarding pass in the QR code-2D bar code format which you can add to your Passbook.

Close to departure time, a reminder is displayed on the phone’s screen: a simple “swipe” (action of sliding your finger across the iPhone screen) will instantly open the boarding pass, which can be used with all QR code-2D bar code readers (at passport control, boarding, etc.).

* prerequisite: iOS6

An extended press offer with the AF Press app

“AF Press” is a new app giving travel saver cardholders and La Première customers equipped with iOS, Android, Windows 8 or Windows RT tablets the possibility to download a selection of magazines and newspapers free of charge. This app complements the offer of paper press, allowing you to download your favourite newspapers and magazines from 24 hours before your flight up to the departure time, so that you can read them before, during and after your trip. Once downloaded, your selected publications are stored in your tablet for you to read at your convenience.

The Air France app is gradually being expanded with French and international titles and will be extended throughout the year to all Company customers equipped with a personal screen, smartphone or tablet.

In addition, the Air France Magazine and Air France Madame magazines can be downloaded free of charge, with or without a flight reservation, by all “AF Press” users.

La Première customers benefit from the full range of newspapers and magazines available on the app. Travel saver cardholders can download two newspapers and one magazine.

This summer, Air France assists you on social networks

On Facebook and Twitter, Air France will answer your questions 7/7 in 5 languages (English, French, German, Spanish and Italian). If you have a doubt about your departure time or the amount of baggage you are allowed to take, Air France teams are at your service before, during and after your trip and will get back to you as soon as possible.
