AFI KLM E&M at the International Paris Air Show: new contracts and offers

At the Le Bourget International Aviation and Aerospace Show, Air France Industries KLM E&M has announced the signature of new contracts with Transavia.com and Air Atlanta Icelandic. The company has also launched a global aeronautical maintenance training offer.

New contracts with Transavia.com and Air Atlanta Icelandic

AFI KLM E&M, EPCOR, a wholly-owned subsidiary of KLM E&M, and Transavia.com have signed a Total Component Care contract plus a 5-year exclusive Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) contract covering maintenance, repairs, access to spare APU units and engineering support. AFI KLM E&M is Boeing's exclusive partner for 737NG component support worldwide, in addition to being a major European operator of 737-800s itself and maintaining a total fleet of over 200 aircraft of this type.

Air Atlanta Icelandic has signed up with AFI KLM E&M for CF6-80C2 thrust reverser maintenance. AFI KLM E&M has been maintaining CF6-80C2 thrust reversers for its customer and parent airlines for many years ensuring extensive expertise on the product.

High value-added technical training

FI KLM E&M has  launched its global training offering, combining resources from AFI KLM E&M centres in Paris and Amsterdam with those of its subsidiaries and partners Regional (Clermont-Ferrand), Brit Air (ICARE Flight Training Centre, Morlaix),  KLM UK Engineering (Technical College, Norwich) and AFMAé (Apprentices Training Centre, Paris).

Thanks to the respective expertise of its training centers, the AFI KLM E&M training offering extends from basic maintenance training in accordance with EASA Part 66/147 (Aircraft Maintenance License categories A, B1 and B2) to continuous training for regional fleets (Embraer, BAE 146, Fokker, ATR, Bombardier), narrow- and wide-bodies including latest-generation aircraft (A380, Boeing 777). AFI KLM E&M provides a large portfolio of courses, such as type training, OJT, HOT, Engine, Engine Run Up, Engineering and Structure & Cabin Repair courses, as well as an extended range of special training and Consulting Services.
