Berlin 1989 - 2009
Exactly 20 years ago, the Berlin wall fell, paving the way for the reunification of East and West Germany. Up till then, West Berlin had been a western enclave in the German Democratic Republic (GDR). A few Western airlines flew to West Berlin - Air France, British Airways and Pan Am, which operated flights to and from Berlin-Tegel airport.

Today, Air France operates five daily flights between its hub at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Berlin. Air France also flies from Paris to eight other cities in Germany; Bremen, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Hanover, Frankfurt, Munich, Nuremberg and Stuttgart. The departure schedules have been designed to offer German passengers rapid connections to international flights from Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
Air France also operates other non-stop services between the French and German regions, with flights from Lyon to Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Stuttgart and Munich.
