Having witnessed the disaster that is affecting the people of north-eastern Japan, all Air France staff, in Tokyo, Paris and worldwide, wish to express their solidarity and provide support to this country that Air France has been serving for nearly 60 years. Directly following the disaster, Air France teams took action to enable flights to Tokyo to resume as soon as possible and ensure the two daily flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and the Japanese capital continue to operate. Air France has not interrupted its services to Japan at any time.

Solidarité Japon : Air France apporte son soutien

Air France staff have provided assistance to enable rapid delivery, in aircraft holds as well as all cargo flights, of several tonnes of emergency aid equipment such as blankets.

The Air France Foundation has also taken action and has launched a fundraising operation among Air France KLM staff. The money raised will go towards financing projects in favour of children and young people.

Air France has been flying to Japan since 1952.

Air France currently operates two daily services to Tokyo-Narita and one daily flight to Osaka-Kansai.
