Air France rewarded for its reactivity on social media

Prize for best “e-reputation” 2011
800,000 fans on Facebook and 120,000 followers on Twitter

Air France has been awarded the prize for best “e-reputation” 2011 at the 25th Grand Prix from Communication & Entreprise - UJJEFF, the most important association of communications businesses in France

A jury of about thirty professionals chose to award it the e-reputation prize for its Facebook page, highlighting the reactivity of its teams, with the support of the editorial agency Wordappeal, during the snow storms in winter 2010-2011 “ Air France has managed to create a real e-reputation hub on Facebook, with questions answered in about ten languages and a subtle balance of a corporate tool and business support, stated the jury.

On Facebook, Air France is currently the leading European airline and the third on a global level. This prize will encourage our communication, marketing and sales teams and confirms our innovative and adapted information strategy on these new means of communication with our customers”, declared François Brousse, SVP Corporate Communications at Air France Air France has some 800,000 fans on Facebook, including 560,000 on its global page and 125,000 on its sister page Air France Music.

On Twitter, more than 120,000 followers keep up to date with Air France sales and corporate news, mainly on the French account @AirFranceFR (77,000 followers), but also on around twenty local accounts.

In October 2011, a bilingual account @AFnewsroom was launched to enable journalists and followers who are fans of air transport to discover exclusive previews of Air France news, as well as other exclusive Air France information.
