Technical problem: AF2252 CDG – Saint Petersburg

Air France confirms that the crew of flight AF 2252 CDG-Saint Petersburg decided to divert to Leipzig airport as a precautionary measure following a technical problem. In accordance with the constructor's procedures and the Company's instructions, the crew anticipated a rapid descent to the nearest airport.

The pilots and cabin crew have received specific training and undergo regular exercises to cope with this type of situation of which they have experience. The aircraft landed normally in Leipzig where the passengers also disembarked under normal conditions. They will be transferred on later flights to St Petersburg.
