Four cabin classes on two decks 

La Première 

With 9 seats on the main deck, the La Première cabin offers passengers a real feeling of space and privacy. The seat in the La Première cabin has seen constant improvements, especially to the seat cushion, the fabric and the control panel. This cabin class has its own exclusive bar, where passengers can enjoy vintage Champagne. Exclusively reserved for La Première passengers, it has a buffet, where they can enjoy a drink, have something to eat, relax or chat with fellow passengers without disturbing the quiet of the cabin. Magazines are also available. At the front of the cabin, there is a changing area available for passengers. This area enables passengers to change into their sleep suit or prepare for arrival in an elegant, private space, with natural light streaming through the window.

Business Class

The upper deck of the A380 holds 80 Business Class seats designed with travel serenity in mind, perfect for relaxing or working. The angle of the two-metre seat has been adapted to maximize the passenger’s comfort during takeoff and landing. A side storage cabinet containing an electric outlet for computers and a 15-inch video screen helps ensure that A380 Business Class is an oasis of comfort and relaxation.

Premium Voyageur Class

This class of travel, with 38 seats located on the aircraft’s upper deck between the Business and Voyageur class cabins, provides passengers with 40% more space compared with economy class. With a combination of ground services, on-board comfort and a delicious, nutritionally balanced menu, this new class of travel is designed to attract both frequent and occasional passengers, whether travelling for business or pleasure. A Premium Voyageur flight also awards passengers with 25% more miles than Voyageur. This class will be available throughout Air France's A380 fleet as of 12 December 2011.

Voyageur Class

The 389 seats in the A380’s Voyageur Class are located on two decks (46 on the upper deck). The seats have been redesigned to provide more independence for each passenger, allowing the A380 to have the biggest passenger seats in the Air France fleet.

The interior: entering a new dimension

A simple, clean design, infused with the Air France "touch," defines the A380 environment. The tones, colours, curves of the stairs and lighting have been designed in minute detail to create an atmosphere for a relaxing and peaceful journey.

Six bars for a friendly atmosphere during the trip

Refresh, relax, chat with friends and family…the A380 is equipped with six bars, including one reserved for First Class customers, two for Business Class and three for Voyageur Class. Drinks and snacks are available, depending on the phases of flight, offering a friendly place for passengers to meet up and which inspires a genuine feeling of space and tranquillity.

Special attention for passengers with disabilities or reduced mobility

To better accommodate passengers with reduced mobility or disabilities, Air France provides dedicated services, particularly on the A380. On board the A380, toilet access is easy for all, armrests are hinged for 99% of the aircraft’s seats, two wheelchairs are carried on board for transfers and seat row numbers also are printed in Braille.

Innovations (a quieter cabin, ambiance-adjusted lighting)

Lighting optimized for crossing time zones without fatigue

The A380’s sophisticated lighting system allows passengers to cross time zones without fatigue. Several lighting scenarios are offered depending on the different phases of flight. Lighting is brightest during boarding and disembarking. While taxiing, lighting intensity decreases, to adapt to the takeoff and landing. At mealtimes, in all four travel classes, the lighting contributes to a restaurant atmosphere. Passengers waking from sleep are greeted with graduated lighting, ensuring additional comfort.

A quiet cabin

The A380 incorporates the most advanced noise reduction technologies. The noise level is five decibels lower than the industry standard, making the cabin calm and quiet.

In-flight entertainment 

Onscreen

A VOD (video on demand) system delivers approximately 600 hours of programming on large screens and a selection of 3,000 music titles; the system is equipped with navigation intuitive for the user, allowing quick access to desired programming. Air France is the first airline worldwide to equip every seat in every class of travel with a USB port to enable passenger downloading of content that includes flight schedules, information on Air France, destination guides, children's games, relaxation videos and pod casts. Three mini-cameras broadcast live exterior images in front, behind and below the aircraft, allowing passengers to enjoy images of the countryside below on their individual screens.

A gallery of art and culture

Air France is the first airline to propose an in-flight art gallery. Through partnerships with the world’s leading museums and artists, Air France invites A380 First Class and Business Class passengers to discover artistic and cultural video exhibitions each month on three 38-cm screens in the gallery located on the aircraft’s upper deck. This area, designed for openness between the deck’s stairs and corridors, is the largest offered by any airline. Works from the Louvre, Venice’s Palazzo Grassi and New York’s Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) have already been presented. "Fleet-wide technologies also are applicable for the A380"
