Another way of reducing gas and noise emissions is by introducing new operational procedures:

• to reduce noise and fuel consumption (e.g. flight procedures, reduced on-board mass, specific engine maintenance, etc.).
• to reduce aircraft emissions on the ground (e.g. by modifying taxiing procedures, use of auxiliary power units, etc.).
• to improve air quality at the airport (by using clean vehicles, etc.).
