Social Responsability: AIR FRANCE KLM commits to being a benchmark

Even though air transport contributes to the world economy and human development, the AIR FRANCE KLM Group is nevertheless conscious of the impact of its activities on the environment, and strives to be a benchmark carrier in terms of social responsibility.

To do this, AIR FRANCE KLM has established a set of commitments to ensure that the increasing demand for air transport goes hand in hand with social progress and environmental protection.

Concerned with human and social development, Air France has also been involved in many humanitarian projects.

Air France and KLM have been committed to finding the best balance between economic performance, preserving social values and protecting the environment for a long time.

As proof of this, AIR FRANCE KLM is the only airline group to belong to the main sustainability indexes that are of increasing interest to  investors, namely:

  • Dow Jones Sustainability Index (since 19 September 2005)
  • FTSE4 Good  (since 18 October 2005)
