Involving our customers in our CSR program

Since 2008, Air France-KLM has conducted an annual survey amongst its Flying Blue customers to determine their expectations related to CSR and the air transport sector. The study gives event better insight in the most relevant CSR topics and the global issues for customers on an international perimeter and which measures they expect the group to take in response.

Recent results from this survey show, for example, a sharp increase in favour of eco designed products, like the new headphones available in the Voyageur cabin on long-haul flights. The primary focus is the reduction of CO2 emissions, in which Air France is fully invested with its research into sustainable biofuels for example. In October 2011, the airline also operated the most fuel-efficient commercial flight in terms of CO2 emissions; a world first.
