The CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) is a survey carried out on behalf of 475 institutional investors representing over 55 trillion dollars’ worth of assets under management. The survey polls leading corporations about the inclusion of climate change issues in their corporate strategy, their approach to carbon constraints, and their greenhouse gas emissions performance.
The CDP generates several indexes, depending on the scope of the survey:
- SBF 120 (the 120 biggest French companies by market capitalization)
- Europe 300 (300 biggest Western European companies by market capitalization)
- Global 500 (500 biggest international corporations)
Air France, which joined the CDLI index in 2009, is the top-ranking enterprise in the transport sector and ranks 14th in the CDLI scale in France, with a rating of 68.
