Flight Security: a round-the-clock concern

Ensuring security of Air France flights in nearly 100 countries and 200 cities around the world is a daily concern for Air France: twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

Security at Air France is ensured by 50 specialists with a daily mission to do everything to protect Air France passengers and staff against any illicit attacks, hijackings, terrorism or other unknown threats.

Each staff member has a role in the security cover too. All Air France employees receive training and are made aware of these issues that are tied to Air France's daily operations.

In a highly-regulated field, Air France works on the introduction of security measures in strict collaboration with airports, the army, air and border police forces, and supervisory bodies not only in France, such as the French Civil Aviation Authority (<dfn title="Direction Générale de l'Aviation Civile">DGAC</dfn> - Direction Générale de l’Aviation Civile) but also at a European level and with the ICAO ( the International Civil Aviation Organization). To guarantee the best level of protection for its customers and staff, Air France also implements additional security measures in some stations where it is required.

This comes under the direct responsibility of Air Fance’s Chief Executive Officer.
