Air France committed to World AIDS Day

Published on - December 01st, 2021 — csr strategy

On 1 December, World AIDS Day, Air France is reaffirming its commitment and support for Personn'ailes, the company's LGBTQ+ association. Once again this year, the association is stepping up its awareness and prevention actions within the company.

Special flights are operating to Cayenne (Guyana), Rome (Italy) and Lisbon (Portugal). On board, "red ribbon" badges, the emblem of the fight against AIDS and of solidarity with all those living with the disease, will be handed out to each customer, along with flyers presenting the association's actions.

Until 17 December, all Air France frontline staff who wish to do so will be able to wear this "red ribbon" badge on their uniforms to show their solidarity.

There will also be a call for donations by Personn'ailes to support the actions of the AIDES association and raise funds.

To promote these initiatives, Elisabeth Moreno, Minister Delegate for Gender Equality, Diversity and Equal Opportunities, visited Head Office at Roissy to congratulate the association on its commitment, as well as that of all the airline's staff involved in this fight.

About the association PERSONN’AILES

Set up in 2001, Personn'Ailes is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. It is the first LGBTQ+ and gay friendly association of a French airline. It aims to advance the acceptance of the diversity of sexual orientations and gender identities within the company and its subsidiaries and supports those who might be concerned, within the company, by alleged discrimination or sidelining because of their sexual orientation or gender identity.

Personn'Ailes is also involved in the prevention of HIV and sexually transmitted infections. What brings us together is our vision of "living better together" and being able to travel "in a world with broader ideas".
