Air France, historic partner and sponsor of Aviation sans Frontières
On September 9, 2019, Anne Rigail, Air France CEO, presented on behalf of the company, a cheque for the amount of 31,075 euros to Gérard Feldzer, chairman of the Aviation sans Frontières association.
This amount corresponds to the proceeds of the sale of a selection of promotional items, among those offered in Air France Magazine, to all the company’s customers.
Air France is a historic partner of Aviation Sans Frontières. For close to 40 years, the company’s teams, ground staff and flight crews, have been continuously providing assistance and support for the association’s humanitarian missions. Aviation Sans Frontières has been supported for many years by the Air France Foundation and the company’s Humanitarian Sponsorship Department, benefitting from financial and logistic support.
Since its creation in 1980, Aviation Sans Frontières, in partnership with many NGOs, has been providing air transport for sick children. Suffering from serious diseases, they can in this way benefit from surgery in European hospitals that would have been impossible in their own country. Transported on scheduled commercial flights by volunteers, these children receive the treatment they need before returning to their families.
