Air France receives two design awards

In April, Air France received two design awards.
The Lighting Design Awards
For its new lounge, opened in July 2018 in Terminal 2E at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, Air France was awarded the gold medal in the "Ceiling Lighting" category at the 2018 Lighting Design Awards on 12 April. The LIT Awards were designed to celebrate creativity and innovation in lighting products and their applications. For the first time, Air France has been awarded a prize in this category, a symbol of its continuous innovation.
The lounge's renovation project consisted in adding a touch of audacity and innovation with 3 themes:
- the entrance composed of more than 20 giant screens illustrating the effervescence of a reinterpreted glass of champagne,
- a luminous and poetic column, a true three-dimensional custom-made piece of work, "ASCENT",
- as well as a new relaxation space arranged with a contemplative and sensory capsule in a spirit of luminotherapy.
The Grands prix des Stratégies du Design
At the Grand prix des Stratégies du Design 2019, held on 17 April, Air France was awarded a gold medal in the "Global Brand Design" category. This award reinforces the idea that Air France is much more than an airline, but also a lifestyle brand that knows how to assert its style while remaining in tune with the times. The strength of the Air France style is also based on the staging of brand attributes. In this way, several designs have been created to bring this style to life, such as new cabin concepts, accessory collections, etc.
The Grand Prix des Stratégies du Design awards bring together the best achievements and campaigns in the field of design and then reward companies with a prize.
