“Oh my Chef!” with Olivier Bellin

Published on - February 28th, 2018 — Customer

On Monday 12 February, Chef Olivier Bellin boarded flight AF334 from Paris-Charles de Gaulle to Boston (United States) for a special "Oh my Chef" event. The chef was able to meet passengers in the Business cabin, share his vision of fine dining and present his dishes in person.

During the flight, one of the lucky customers also won the golden ticket slipped on to their meal tray, with a dinner invitation to Olivier Bellin’s restaurant, the Auberge des Glazicks in Plomodiern in Brittany.

“Oh my Chef!” by Air France regularly invites a chef on board one of its flights to serve his or her menu, meet passengers and hear their impressions.

From January to March 2018, dishes signed by Olivier Bellin can be enjoyed in the Business cabin.

Olivier Bellin, a chef attached to his culinary heritage

Olivier Bellin grew up in the family restaurant, L’Auberge des Glazicks in Brittany, previously owned by his grandmother and great grandmother. In 1998, the chef returned home to take over the family business after travelling the world and working with celebrated French chefs such as Joël Robuchon and Jacques Thorel.

In 2005, he obtained a first Michelin star and a second one in 2010, confirming Olivier’s culinary talent and expertise and determination to make the l’Auberge des Glazicks a gourmet reference the world over!

As an ambassador of Brittany’s resources and culinary excellence, Olivier Bellin seeks to highlight the products of his terroir, using his talent to create an inventive cuisine.  He has thus succeeded in turning Brittany’s typical buckwheat into a signature product.

This chef, who is deeply devoted to his roots and culture, has a reputation for bringing out the best in this simple product, by combining the flavours and texture in original and surprising ways.
