Since 1933, Air France has been promoting and highlighting France throughout the world. With an activity divided between passenger transport, cargo transport and aeronautical maintenance, Air France is a major air transport player. Chief Executive Officer Air France
A graduate of the Mines Paris Tech business school, Anne Rigail joined Air Inter in 1991. In 1996, she was appointed head of Air France Customer Services at Paris-Orly.
In 1999, she became head of Passenger and Baggage connections at Paris-CDG, and subsequently head of customer and baggage products for Ground Operations.
In 2005, she was promoted Head of Operations at the Paris-CDG hub and became VP Paris-CDG Hub in 2009.
She joined the Executive Committee in 2013 as Executive Vice President in-flight services, in charge of cabin crew.
In 2017, she was appointed EVP Customer Experience, in charge of supervising ground and in-flight products and services, including Air France airport lounge design, cabin layout and modernization, and roll-out of in-flight Wi-Fi.
Anne Rigail was appointed CEO on 12 December 2018.

Executive Vice President Finance
After working as an economist at the INSEE and then at the Banque de France, Alexandre Baclet joined the French Treasury in 2010 as head of the Economic and Monetary Union office, where he was involved in managing the Eurozone sovereign debt crisis. In 2013, he took charge of the New York economic department.
In 2015, he became Europe, International and Economic Financing Advisor to Michel Sapin, Minister of Finance.
In 2016, he was appointed Deputy Director of Public Finance at the Treasury Department, where he was responsible for producing public finance forecasts and taking part in the development of the State's budgetary strategy. He was then appointed Deputy Director for Europe in 2018, a position he has held until today. In this capacity, in spring 2020 he contributed to the implementation of emergency measures at European level in response to the Covid crisis, then to the drawing up of the European recovery plan.
Alexandre Baclet is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and the Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l'Administration Economique (ENSAE), and holds a master's degree from the Paris School of Economics.
Alexandre Baclet has been appointed EVP Finance Air France as of 1 July 2021. He reports to Anne Rigail and is a member of the Executive Committee.

COO-EVP operations and cargo
Alain Bernard is a graduate of the Ecole Centrale de Paris. He joined Air Inter in 1987 as Research Officer in the Planning Division. In 1990 he became Head of the Customer Interface Department in the Marketing Division, then in 1994, Head of the Flight Crew Labour Relations Department. In 1997 he was appointed Vice President Flight Crew Human Resources for Air France. In 1999 he became Vice President of the SAP Programme then Deputy Vice President Flight Scheduling in 2002. In 2005 he was appointed Vice President Operations Control, Vice President Flight Operations in 2009 and Executive Vice President In-Flight Product in 2010. In 2013 he was appointed Executive Vice President Medium-Haul Passenger Activity Paris-CDG. He is now Chief Operating Officer and Accountable Manager until 2019. As of March 1st, 2019 he is named COO-VP operations and cargo.

Executive Vice President Flight Operations
Alexandre Blanc was appointed EVP Flight Operations on 26 April 2021. As such, he becomes a member of the Executive Committee and reports to Air France CEO, Anne Rigail.
Alexandre Blanc is a Flight Captain on Boeing 777 with 17,300 flight hours. He joined Air France in 1991 after graduating from the ENAC French National School of Civil Aviation, and worked as First Officer on the Airbus A320 and A340 and as Flight Captain on the Airbus A320 and Boeing B777.
Since 2011, he has also been a Boeing 777 and Boeing 787 instructor. Since 2018, he has held senior positions within the Flight Safety/Boeing Training Division and has also been manager of Boeing instructors. Alexandre Blanc has been a Boeing 777 Senior Pilot since 2019.

CEO of Hop!
A graduate of the Ecole Nationale de l'Aviation Civile (ENAC), Hervé Boury has spent his entire career in flight operations.
He joined Air Inter in 1989, where he held various maintenance positions, including Head of Engineering for the A320 fleet. In 1997, he joined Air France's international stations in New York, Martinique and Guadeloupe as Regional Station Manager. He then returned to Paris and became Head of Aircraft Services in 2008 and then VP of Cargo Operations in 2010. Hervé Boury joined Transavia (France) in 2013, as Chief Operations Officer and Accountable Manager.
He was appointed CEO of Hop! on 16 January 2023.

EVP Corporate Secretary of Air France
A graduate of the Ecole des Mines in Paris, Olivier Janicaud joined the Air France Group in 1994, as a Strategic Planning Engineer in the Scheduling Department of Air Inter.
From 1998 onwards, he held several positions in Ground Operations, at Roissy and then at Toulouse airport. He joined the Air France Hub Operations Division in 2005, and became VP Hub Operations in 2009. In 2013, he was appointed VP of the Operations Control Centre, the Air France operational platform that oversees the smooth running of operations 24/7. From 2019 to 2022, he served as Chief of Staff to the CEO of Air France.
Olivier Janicaud was appointed EVP Corporate Secretary of Air France on 1 January 2023.

CEO of Transavia France
Olivier Mazzucchelli is a graduate of the Ecole Nationale des Arts et Métiers (ENSAM Paris) and holds a specialist postgraduate diploma in finance from HEC Paris.
He joined the Air France Group in 2000 as Assistant Project Manager (AMO) for the optimisation of flight crew rosters. He then held several positions in the field of maintenance, including CEO of Spairliners (a joint venture between Air France Industries and Lufthansa Technik based in Hamburg), before becoming Air France Station Manager in Marseille in 2015 and Chief Operations Officer at HOP! in 2017.
He was appointed CEO of Transavia Franceon 16 January 2023.

EVP Air France Industries
An alumnus of ENSMA, the National School of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering in Poitiers, with an Executive MBA from top business school HEC Paris, Géry Mortreux, born in 1966, started out at Air Inter in 1989, where he occupied a number of positions in the maintenance sphere. In 1996, he joined Air France as 737/727 Engineering Manager, later becoming 747/767 Production Manager. In 2001, he became A320 Fleet Manager, and subsequently (2005) Supply Chain Director, followed by his appointment as VP Components Industrial Operations in 2006. In 2007, he moved to Sabena Technics in Brussels as EVP Engineering and Maintenance, Civil Aircraft, before his appointment as Technical Director of Corsair International in 2008, and subsequently as Chief Operating Officer and Accountable Manager in 2011.

EVP Multi Risk Division
A former French Navy officer and holder of the French Military Technical Diploma, Didier Nicolini joined the Air France Group in 2000 as an A320 pilot, after 10 years of service in the French Naval Aviation.
From 2009 onwards, he moved to management positions within the Flight Operations Division. In particular, he contributed to the flight safety reforms, as Deputy Manager of the Trajectoire programme and then Deputy Manager of the Technical Development Division. In 2015, he was appointed Director of Human Resources for Pilots, before taking over as Director of Pilot Labour Relations in 2019.
Now an A350/A330 captain, Didier Nicolini was appointed EVP Multi Risk Division on 3 April 2023, a division whose scope covers flight safety, occupational safety, food safety and environmental risk. In this capacity, he will join the Air France Executive Committee.

EVP Human Resources
Patrice Tizon holds a Master's degree in Economic and Social Administration from Paris X and a Master’s degree (DESS) in Employment Management and Social Development from Sciences Po Paris.
With 30 years of experience in the field of Human Resources and Social Relations Management, Patrice Tizon is a highly experienced professional. He began his career in 1988 with the Arcelor group where he held various positions of increasing responsibility in the field of social relations, training, staff management and human resources with SOLLAC and GTS industries. He also led various cross-functional projects (HRIS).
In 1999, Patrice Tizon joined Air France-KLM as Human Resources Director for the group's Cargo division. In 2005, he was appointed Human Resources Director for Air France at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, then, from 2006 to 2010, HRD of Air France's ground operations.
In 2012, after two years in the United States as Human Resources Director USA Air France KLM, Patrice Tizon was appointed Director of International and Commercial Human Resources. In January 2018 he was appointed Director of Social Relations and since September 2018, he is the EVP Human Resources at Air France.

Executive Vice President In-Flight Services
Since joining Air Inter in 1987 as a passenger sales agent at CDG airport, Catherine Villar worked as a sales representative in Bordeaux for 5 years, following a prior experience at the Terminal Elysėe ticket office. She joined the Air Inter Sales Division in 1995 and worked closely with the Air France teams, joining the Revenue Management team in 1996. In the Marketing Division, she developed the Fréquence Plus programme and subsequently worked with KLM teams on creating the Flying Blue frequent flyer programme at the time of the merger. In 2009, she joined the Procurement division, in charge of intellectual, financial, marketing and communication services procurement. In 2014, she joined the Air France-KLM Marketing teams, in charge of managing the Group brand portfolio and customer studies. She has been SVP Customer Experience Air France since 2019.
Catherine Villar has been appointed EVP In-Flight Services as of 1st June 2021.

Chair of the Board of Directors
Anne-Marie Couderc is a graduate in private law and holds a French Professional Lawyer’s Certificate (Certificat d’aptitude à la Profession d’Avocat).
She began her career in 1972 as a lawyer with the Paris Bar. She then became Chief Legal Officer in Hachette’s industrial division between 1979 and 1982, before fulfilling different management functions within the Lagardère Group from 1982 to 1995.
In parallel, Anne-Marie Couderc has pursued a political career – having been elected to the Paris Council in 1983, until 2001, she successively served as Advisor then Deputy to the Mayor of Paris between 1989 and 2001. After being elected a Deputy of the French National Assembly in 1993, she subsequently joined the Government in 1995 where she was appointed Secretary of State to the Prime Minister, responsible for Employment, then Minister for Employment and Social Affairs, responsible for Employment until 1997.
In 1997, she was named Chief Executive Officer of Hachette Filipacchi Associés followed, from 2006 to 2010, by Secretary General of Lagardère Active (press and audiovisual). From 2011 to 2017, she was Chair of Presstalis Group (press distribution). She has been corporate director since 30 June 2017.
She has been Chair of the Air France-KLM Board of Directors since 15 May 2018.

Executive director
Benjamin Smith is a reputed senior airline industry executive at international level, having spent 20 years at Air Canada where he held the positions of President Airlines and Chief Operating Officer.
In 1990, while at university, he started part-time as a Customer Service Agent at Air Ontario. In 1992, he followed an entrepreneurial path and established his own retail corporate travel agency, successfully running this business for eight years. In 1999, he also worked as a consultant for Air Canada before joining the airline in 2002.
Following his arrival in 2002, Benjamin Smith occupied several positions of responsibility at Air Canada. He became Vice President Network Planning before joining the Air Canada executive management team in 2007 as Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer.
In 2014, he was appointed President Airlines (Air Canada, Rouge, Express, Cargo) and Chief Operating Officer at Air Canada. He assumed overall responsibility for commercial, operations and customer service functions for the Group. He also oversaw Air Canada’s commercial growth strategy.
On 16 August 2018, Benjamin Smith was appointed CEO of Air France-KLM, and on 5 December 2018, a member of the Air France-KLM Board of Directors.

Gaël AMAUDRY joined Air France in 1988 and after 15 years in the cargo division, 10 years in IT, 5 years in HR and several mandates as an elected representative in the various bodies, she has been an elected reserve member within the company’s Central Economic and Social Committee since 2019 and a member of the Air France Group’s CFDT executive committee.

Alexandre Boissy is a graduate of the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées.
He joined Air France in 1999 where he held the positions of consultant, manager and Operations Research Manager until 2014.
He was Air France-KLM Operations Research Manager from 2014 to 2016. In 2016, he was appointed Chief of Staff to the Air France-KLM CEO and Secretary of the Group Executive Committee.
Since September 2018, he has been Deputy General Secretary and Chief of Staff to the Air France-KLM CEO, and SVP Communication, customer studies and Group brand strategy.

Pieter Bootsma is a graduate of the University of Twente and holds a PhD in Business Engineering & Management Science. He is an alumnus of Columbia University (USA) and the IMD Business School in Singapore (High Performance Leadership Program). He has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer Air France-KLM since September 2022.
Pieter Bootsma has 25+ years’ experience in the commercial airline industry. After joining KLM in 1995 where he worked in the area of network planning and schedule development until 2000, he held a series of management positions at KLM and Air France KLM, achieving repeated success in maximizing revenues, optimizing network positioning, negotiating joint-ventures, as well as developing and implementing commercial strategy and innovation for Air France-KLM (digital, distribution, customer interaction and loyalty programmes). In 2014, he was appointed EVP Commercial Strategy Air France-KLM. From July 2020 to August 2022, he was appointed Chief Revenue Officer Air France-KLM.
Pieter Bootsma was a board member of the Airline Tariff Publishing Company (Washington, USA) from 2004 to 2009 and a member of the KLM Executive Committee from 2011 to 2013.
Since 2013, he has been Chairman of the Board of Directors for Transavia France and a member of the Air France-KLM Executive Committee.

Véronique Damon is a Management and Applied Economics graduate of Paris IX Dauphine University and a former student of the National School of Civil Aviation (EPL). She holds an airline transport pilot licence (ATPL).
After beginning her career as a flight attendant at Air France, she was supported by Air France for her promotion as Airbus A320 First Officer from 2004 to 2008 and currently works on the Boeing B777.
Between March 2015 and April 2018, Mrs. Damon was elected titular member of the Flight Operations Works Committee and elected reserve member of the Air France Central Works Council. She was Secretary General of the Air France section of the SNPL union from December 2014 to May 2017 and Director of the APPN (Association in charge of life insurance coverage for flight personnel) from March 2013 to May 2017.
She is currently elected titular member of the FCPE Concorde and Majoractions Supervisory Board

Independent director
Francesca Ecsery, who has both British and Hungarian citizenship, is a graduate of Geneva University in Political Science and International Relations, and also holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. She is currently an independent director on the boards of F&C Investment Trust plc, Marshall Motor Holdings plc and CT Automotive plc.
After starting her career with McKinsey & Co, Inc, she joined Pepsico, Inc from 1991 to 1994, before joining the Thomas Cook Group (UK) in 1994 as Marketing Director of Thomas Cook Promotions and then Marketing and Sales Director of Going Places Leisure Travel Ltd. From 2001 to 2007, she was Managing Director of STA Travel's international division in London and then appointed Managing Director of Cheapflights Media UK in 2007 before becoming Group Business Development Director from 2009 to 2011.
For over 25 years, Francesca Ecsery has developed extensive expertise in the Digital / Retail / Travel industry. She has invested in a number of start-ups and was the founder and director of Advantage Portugal, a provider of personalised business services to foreign investors in Portugal.

Director Staff representative
Silvia Gonzales holds a Master’s degree in social and economic administration with an option in private business administration. Her first position was in a pension fund for Taitbout Group’s managers.
She joined the Air France Group as a service agent in Montpellier in May 1999. She then became a leader before being appointed operational manager in 2021.
After having held the positions of staff representative, elected works council member, employee advisor and negotiator of company agreements and union trainer, she was deputy general secretary of the CFDT union in the Air France Group.

Fabrice Huret joined Air France in 2004 as a flight attendant on the medium-haul network and since 2019 has been working on the long-haul network. A staff representative since 2015, he has been a staff representative administrator on the Board of Directors since December 2020. He holds an undergraduate technological diploma in marketing techniques and a degree in human resources.

Catherine Jude is a civil aviation engineer, a graduate of Ecole Polytechnique and the National Civil Aviation School, and holds a Master of Science in Transportation Engineering from the University of Berkeley in California. Catherine Jude has been Vice President International Stations Air France-KLM since 2019.
She began her career in 1994 with the Paris Airport Flight Operations Division (currently integrated in the French Civil Aviation Authority), in charge of air traffic control development projects at CDG airport.
In 1997, she joined Air France where she assumed different responsibilities in a variety of areas (operations, commercial/marketing, flight scheduling/network management). She was successively head of the Paris-CDG Hub Operations Control Unit (1997-98), West and Central African route manager (1998-2000), head of the future short and medium-haul flight schedule (2000-2001), European route manager (2001-2006), head of the Operations Control Centre (OCC) (2006-2012), SVP Operations Control (2013-2018), in charge of the OCC, operational performance and the company’s crisis management.
She is also a former auditor of IHEDN (62nd National Session), and has received the title of Chevalier in the National Order of Merit and an honour from the Air and Space Academy.

Director Staff representative
Following professional studies in accounting and commerce, Djibril KOITA worked in several subsidiaries of the Air France Group (SERVAIR and ACNA) as team manager in aircraft supplies.
In 2006, he joined Air France in the Cargo division, where he also worked for the Hub department. He is currently an instructor in aircraft movements and flight safety relay.

Independent director
Bruno Mettling is a graduate of the IEP political science institute of Paris and the Aix en Provence law school. In November 2018, he founded and is chairman of Topics, a consultancy firm in internal transformation strategy.
He began his career at the budget department of the Ministry of Finance before holding a succession of posts within different ministries.
In 1995, Bruno Mettling was appointed Financial Controller and Deputy Vice President Finance for La Poste group.
In October 1999, he joined the Caisse nationale des Caisses d’Epargne where he reformed the Human Resources department, before being given responsibility for sales development and the strategic plan. He joined the Banque Populaire Group in October 2004 as Executive Vice President Banque Fédérale des banques populaires where he was appointed Deputy CEO on 1st July, 2006.
In April 2010, he joined France Télécom in a social crisis context. As Group Executive Director and Human Resources Director, he was appointed Executive Vice President of the Orange Group on 1st November, 2011. He was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Orange in Africa and the Middle East from March 2016 to May 2018. On 1st May 2018, he was appointed Chairman of the Board of OMEA until June 2021 when he took over as chairman of EBI SA bank, an international subsidiary of the pan-African banking group, Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI).

Independent Director
Ursula Saint-Léger is a History graduate from the Sorbonne University in Paris. Since September 2018, she has been Chief HR, Communications and CR Officer at the Belgian company Aliaxis.
She began her professional career as head of recruitment in 1988 at Cap Gemini and then from 1992 to 1995 for Saint Gobain at SOCAR. She was then Human Resources consulltant in the French subsidiary of Hewitt Associates from 1995 to 1998 before becoming Human Resources Director for Inergy, part of the Plastic Omnium group from 1998 to 2002. Ursula Saint Léger was appointed Director of Human Resources at Alstom Transmission and Distribution, which became Areva Transmission and Distribution in June 2002, where she was responsible for the implementation and deployment of new HR processes in the Asia-Pacific region, based in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. From 2004 to 2009, she was Senior Vice President Human Resources and Chair of the European Works Council of a BEL20 Belgian company, Umicore, based in Brussels, Belgium. She was subsequently appointed head of the Human Resources division of TAQA, an energy company based in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, where she was a member of the Management Committee.
From 2010 to summer 2018, she was Senior Vice President Human Resources for the American company AptarGroup, member of the Executive Committee and Chairwoman of the European head office based in France.

Director Staff representative
After obtaining a vocational training certificate (CAP) in auto mechanics, Vincent Salles joined Air France in 1997 as an apprentice at Vilgénis at the Toulouse Industrial Centre, where he obtained a vocational training certificate in aeronautical structure mechanics in 1999. From 2001 to 2003, he participated in the training of structural mechanics by providing technical English training. In 2004, he passed the internal exam for structural technician.
In 2005, he joined the CGT union and was elected staff representative in 2007. In 2008, he became secretary of the CGT section of the Toulouse Industrial Centre. From October 2017 to January 2022, he was Co-Secretary General of the Air France CGT union

Independent director
Bernard Spitz is a graduate of IEP Paris (political science institute), ESSEC business school and ENA.
He began his career at the Council of State and the Competition Council. He was a member of the Cabinet for Prime Minister Michel Rocard (Advisor) and for Secretary of State for Planning Lionel Stoleru (Cabinet Director).
From 1992 to 1996, he was director of the Canal + group in charge of digital strategy and development. From 2000 to 2004, he was Director of Strategy for Vivendi Universal. From 2004 to 2011, he was in charge of the consulting firm BS Conseil. From 2008 to 2016, he was President of the French Federation of Insurance Companies (FFSA), which he continued from 2016 to 2019 as President of the French Insurance Federation (FFA), which includes the FFSA and GEMA (Group of Mutual Insurance Companies).
From 2009 to 2019, he was a member of the governing bodies of the French Employers’ Association MEDEF and a member of the Bureau and the Executive Committee. Since July 2013, he has been President of the International and European Pole.
He has also led or contributed to several government missions, taught at ESSEC, Paris IEP and Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne University, and is the author or co-author of several reports for the public authorities and numerous books.

Independent director
Florence Verzelen is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique (specialising in Economics and Finance) and the Ecole des Mines. On 15 January 2018, she was appointed Executive Vice President Industry Solutions, Marketing, Global Affairs and Communication Dassault Systems.
After working in project financing at the Société Générale Investment Banking in New York in 2002, she worked at the European Commission from 2004 to 2007, first in the Trade division and then in the Competition division. Florence Verzelen then joined the office of the Secretary of State for European Affairs, as an Advisor, in charge of industrial and commercial matters.
She then joined the Engie group (GDF Suez) where she was Director of Group Acquisition activities between 2008 and 2010, and then became Manager of the subsidiary GDF Suez Qatar BV between 2010 and 2013. Between 2013 and 2015, she held the position of VP for the Performance Plan. Between 2015 and 2017, she was Deputy Director of Engie Europe, in charge of Operations, Business Development and Innovation and Managing Director of Engie Russia.

Passenger transport is Air France's core business. It is based on a balanced, dense network structured essentially around its hub at Paris-Charles de Gaulle as well as its hubs at Paris-Orly and Lyon-Saint-Exupéry.
In 2020, Air France operated services that were essential for people, trade and the economy and repatriated thousands of French and European citizens.

Aircraft maintenance is the Air France-KLM Group's third largest line of business. AFI KLM E&M is the world's second largest multi-product player in the MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) market.
