Amazonie, un arbre pour la vie

Perpetuation and enhancement of the environmental education programme

The Amazonie un arbre pour la vie (“a tree for life”) association educates indigenous children and teenagers about environmental issues. It organises the planting of tropical trees, an activity in which each participant is given a defined area to plant and care for their tree. The overall aim is to plant 32,000 trees in six years. After fitting out a library and creating a greenhouse and vegetable garden in 2021, the project supported by the Air France Foundation since 2020, the ambition is to build a water reserve for the greenhouse and vegetable garden and a “recycling house”, and to educate 600 children about the challenges of recycling and the planting of 2,800 trees.
