Employment integration of 1,470 young people from refugee camps in the north and south of the country

Active for over 40 years, ASMAE supports teenagers in serious difficulties, the prevention of early school leaving and educational failure, the protection and education of small children, and preventive initiatives and care for children in danger. It also provides support for children with a disability. The aim of the current project with the support of the Air France Foundation is to develop the potential of highly vulnerable young people in the two largest camps of Syrian and Palestinian refugees. More specifically, these young people take part in vocational training and also receive training in soft skills – the human, relational, emotional and behavioural qualities specific to each person. As such, these young people learn what their rights are and develop initiatives within their community to ensure their rights are properly respected. The partnership began in 1994.
