Raising awareness and introducing young girls in Greater Orly and the Val de Marne region to digital professions.
The association works to promote equal opportunities and gender diversity in the IT and digital professions by offering inclusive, technical programmes for girls. Today, only 4 out of 30 secondary school girls choose the Numerics and Computer Sciences speciality. Women account for only 28% of staff in these professions. The support of the Air France Foundation is enabling the roll-out of a project involving intensive digital awareness and initiation, as well as long-term support for 290 girls aged 13 to 25 from disadvantaged backgrounds. Raising awareness in schools is designed to get teenage girls interested in careers in the digital sector. Initiation then consists of training the girls in computer programming and digital communication for 4 intensive weeks in July. Finally, the ambassador girls are given long-term support through group workshops, individual support and a self-help community. The ultimate aim is to develop their commitment to gender equality in the digital sector, to help them develop their skills and then to support them in their career planning and professional integration.
