Expansion of the programme to develop access to reading in pre-school classes.
Biblionef makes reading and books accessible to disadvantaged children and teenagers. Thanks to a strong network of partners, the association carries out cooperation projects to promote access to education and culture. It creates and equips public, school and community libraries for its beneficiaries by providing them with new, high-quality books from French publishers. In 2024, the 15,000 books chosen for early childhood will be dedicated to 1,000 classes. Children's early contact with books is crucial to their early development, personal and intellectual growth. Educators receive initial and ongoing training in an environment where the literacy rate is 32% and the education system is ranked among the 21 lowest in the world. This project is part of the Ministry's reform of the education system, which aims to make pre-school education universal by 2028. Biblionef has been a partner of the Air France Foundation since 2005.
