Support for the prevention of violence in the school environment in Aulnay-sous-Bois

In 2012, Caméléon France formed a partnership with the Air France Foundation to bolster prevention initiatives in the school and extracurricular environment. Educational workshops on raising awareness of and promoting children’s rights, international solidarity and combating violence against children are the cornerstones of the activities carried out. There also activities on the web and social media to increase the audience and the circulation of messages. More than 900 children have been able to discover their rights, learn to recognise risky and/or dangerous situations and identify the resources and support systems put in place. 80 adults have used the tools provided to hear what children have to say and submit reports to protect them. The children are also educated about the situation of other children around the world and can get involved in solidarity initiatives. The supervisors and parents are also educated about children’s rights and the violence they suffer. Prevention guides are made available to parents so that they can discuss these topics with their children.
