Art therapy workshops in hospital
Since 2019, the Culture spaces Foundation has been designing and implementing artistic and cultural education programmes for children who are sick, disabled or living in precarious conditions. In the unanimous opinion of doctors, the children spending time in their hospital wards appreciate having access to culture. This project combines artistic practice and discovery of the arts, thanks to the involvement of professional mediators and artists. The support of the Air France Foundation helps to finance the creation and implementation of the “Art therapy workshops in hospital” programme. Three workshops are available, which can be adapted to the needs of each child, including those with a medical condition that confines them to their hospital bed. Participation in an immersive exhibition at the Atelier des Lumières in Paris, an itinerary involving dance sequences specifically designed for sick or disabled children. And for children isolated in sterile rooms or receiving palliative care at home, the chance to visit an immersive digital work of art using a virtual reality headset.
