Improve reception conditions at the Didier Le Bihan centre in Adjohoum

The Erwan à Ella works to support orphanages and reception centres for children in difficulties in Haiti and Benin. In Benin in particular, it supports the “Didier Le Bihan” reception centre, which caters to around 15 children with a disability and exclusion issues. Children in the country with an intellectual disability are very widely rejected and mistreated. They are often isolated at the back of classrooms, in homes, shut away or left to their own devices and excluded from any schooling. The association’s activities provide a route out of abandonment for these children. The project, supported by the Air France Foundation since 2019, involves replacing the centre’s defective electricity supply system by installing solar panels.
