“L’École des jeunes Pousses”: a school training programme in agroecology agricultural practices

The association supports environmental and agroecology education projects, by empowering young people and inhabitants of rural areas to develop their skills and undertake entrepreneurial initiatives. After a three-year pilot phase in an initial school, the project has now been integrated into the school curriculum. It has helped to consolidate young people's theoretical and practical knowledge in agroecology and develop their basic understanding and interpersonal skills. The program helps to strengthen the pupils' attachment to their land and environment, and has contributed to improving the school infrastructure. The Air France Foundation’s support will enable the first “École des Jeunes Pousses” to become fully autonomous. The association's ambition is to subsequently extend this training program to another school in the department.
