Giving young girls from rural areas access to quality education.
 

Yara Les Nouveaux Constructeurs supports and implements international development initiatives aimed at improving living conditions and access to education, employment, health and culture for disadvantaged groups, particularly children and young adults in the Sahel region. It is particularly active in Niger. The association's programme, which has been supported on several occasions by the Air France Foundation, enables young girls from rural areas of the country to receive high-quality, long-term education in town. Once they have a diploma, it is easier for them to enter the world of work. The association needs funding for school fees, tutoring, food and clothing for the girls attending boarding schools in Zinder, Niamey, Takiéta, Gangara and Mirriah. This project helps to combat early marriage. Yara LNC also raises families' awareness of the importance of educating girls, and improves their health by postponing the age of marriage and therefore early pregnancies.
