Environmental education programme for schools in seven rural towns with infrastructure improvement

Founded in 1998, H2O Sans Frontières conducts initiatives to raise awareness about the theme of water among populations. The association aims to replicate an environmental education initiative launched in 2020 among schools in seven rural towns and in liaison with the schools in 21 towns around Clermont-Ferrand, in the metropolitan district. The project, supported by the Air France Foundation since 2020, includes the restoration of boreholes in 60 schools to provide the pupils with drinking water, installing school lighting equipment in 15 schools and distributing 1,200 solar lamps. 8,000 Burkinabè and Clermont-Ferrand pupils are put in contact to improve their knowledge about their respective cultures and participate together in an environmental education project.
