Enhancement of basic education at 20 primary schools in Grand-Goâve (South region)

Since 2010, Inter Aide has worked to implement the school curricula offered to the most underprivileged populations in isolated rural areas. The current project aims to bring about lasting improvement in access to and the quality of primary education in rural areas. Its main goal is lasting improvement in access to and the quality of primary education in these regions. For its fifth year working with the commune of Grand Goâve, Inter Aide is providing training for teachers to supplement their academic studies, adapted to their professional field and pre-school career. This training is supported by the distribution of equipment. While the members of the school committees and the directors are trained in administrative management, parents are educated about the importance of school, regular attendance and the payment of school fees.
