Creation of an ‘eco-school’ for education, vocational training and the social and family reintegration of vulnerable children, through agro-ecology, livestock farming and renewable energies, in Saint-Louis.
The association provides comprehensive care for boys aged 5 to 14 living on the streets, victims of exploitation through forced begging, lost or separated from their families. The ‘Empire Green Club’ project is an eco-school with an educational, professional and social vocation. Set in 1.5 hectares of farmland, students are offered the chance to put agro-ecological techniques into practice, as well as learning spaces to acquire theoretical knowledge. Dormitories provide the children with safe and decent accommodation. The objectives and virtues of the project are to combat poverty through sustainable reintegration, to improve food safety, to raise awareness of environmental issues, to promote renewable energies, and to restore the children's dignity and self-confidence while building their capacities and empowering them. The Air France Foundation wishes to support the development of this new innovative project.
