Financing recreational therapy holidays for sick children.
The association aims to improve the psychological health and social situation of seriously ill children. It also aims to support their family carers through tailored, free programmes. These children and teenagers spend most of their time in hospitals or at home in secure environments. Their state of health prevents them from going on holiday, leading to isolation. With the support of the Air France Foundation, L'ENVOL offers them a recreational break, during residential holidays, to help them regain their self-confidence, because illness is a barrier preventing them from living life to the full as children and teenagers. The programmes and activities are supervised by a team of experienced professionals and specially trained volunteers. They provide supervision and support for each child during their stay, which is designed to be inclusive, collective and empathetic. This year, 36 children will enjoy a break at a site in Essonne, accompanied by 30 volunteers, including 1 doctor and 3 nurses.
