Training in digital technology for disadvantaged young people in Vietnam.
The association Passerelles Numériques is on a mission to eradicate poverty in a sustainable way by enabling young beneficiaries to improve their chances of finding work through access to quality education and vocational training in IT (Information Technology). The project sponsored for the second year running by the Air France Foundation aims to provide young people from poor neighbourhoods in the town of Da Nang with a diploma-based technical and vocational training course in digital technology, and it seeks to attract at least 50% female students to reduce gender inequalities. It combines learning advanced IT technical skills, soft skills, English language training, internships and entrepreneurship modules. The aim is to prepare these young people to become independent adults by allowing them to acquire skills adapted to the local market and gain access to sustainable employment.
