Education project on science and technologies around hydrogen energy aimed at young people in serious difficulties

Planète Sciences provides astronomy, space, environment and robotics activities. To create, improve and diversify its events, it maintains close ties with researchers and engineers. It is important to educate young people about the issue of the energy transition and more specifically the role of hydrogen in what is known as the “third industrial revolution”. This also provides the opportunity to discuss this “world after” with them. The project supported by the Air France Foundation since 2022 involves educating in science and technologies around hydrogen energy and is aimed at young people aged 8 to 18 in serious difficulties. A teaching kit is created to address the topic of hydrogen in a fun way, focusing on practical aspects and experimentation. It addresses the topic of hydrogen from the perspective of physics and chemistry, life and earth sciences, technology and history. Subsequently, this kit is deployed in youth structures and schools by organising science classes and science training courses.
