Environmental protection awareness in the school environment in the region of Natitingou

Planète Urgence is an NGO founded in 2000. Its activities mainly involve preserving endangered forests and biodiversity, promoting the local development of communities and educating young people and their families about the environment. It is committed to developing and securing basic education about environmental preservation at primary schools in Benin by providing educational kits to schools. Following an initial 2021/2022 pilot year supported by the Air France Foundation, Planète Urgence wanted to continue its activities in 2022/2023 by consolidating activities in ten already participating schools and expanding into a further eight schools. 110 teachers are now trained and monitored to provide the environmental education programme.
