Promoting the inclusion of Ukrainian refugee students through sport.

PLAY International uses sport as a means to promote education and inclusion. The NGO trains education professionals in the use of its sports content. The current project is being rolled out in Warsaw and Wroclaw in Poland, and in Suceava in Romania. The aim is to support teachers who have been welcoming large numbers of children into their schools since the start of the war in Ukraine. These teachers receive training in sports games that they can use in their classes. The games created are intended to include refugee children and to be deployed in other countries. The V4SPORT Foundation, which promotes physical activity as a tool for psychosocial development, is a PLAY International partner in Poland. In Romania, the project is run in a similar way with their partner Sport 4 ALL. PLAY International is part of a working group set up by the UNHCR (UN Refugee Agency), alongside FIFA, among other bodies.
