Improving conditions at the Commandant Sanon primary school in Abidjan:Construction of a multi-purpose room and library building.

Savoir Ivoire's mission is to promote educational development in Côte d'Ivoire. It equips 11 schools with school and teaching supplies collected in France. It improves the environment for students by renovating buildings and classrooms and creating botanical gardens that are tended by the pupils. The renovation of the Commandant Sanon school began in 2022 with the support of the Air France Foundation, and is continuing this year with the construction of a library and a multi-purpose room to accommodate various areas, such as a games library, a multimedia room, a computer room, a space dedicated to art, and the organisation of workshops with external partners. Pupils will be able to relax after lunch and develop a taste for reading. The previously non-existent social mix now includes 80% of children from poor neighbourhoods and 20% of local residents, 47% of whom are girls. Savoir Ivoire systematically aims to ensure that the schools it supports become benchmark schools.
