Vocational integration into ecological transition professions in the Greater Roissy area.
The association supports and trains young people aged 16 to 25, who are not in employment, in manual trades related to ecological transition. In the Greater Roissy area, there are around 600 school drop-outs every year. Over the next 5 years, almost 150,000 new jobs will need to be created around the ecological transition. So there are real opportunities for these young people. The association offers them a range of pre-qualifying training courses over 3 months, plus 4 to 6 weeks of work experience. Using an active teaching method with local professionals, these young people discover trades based around 3 main themes: eco-construction in conjunction with the forestry and wood industry, agriculture to help meet the challenges of food sovereignty, and mobility via the bicycle sector. The association will be setting up in a new social and ecological third place in Goussainville. With the support of the Air France Foundation, it will be buying teaching equipment for its wood workshop, as well as equipment to raise awareness of biodiversity and the jobs involved in the ecological transition in secondary schools.
