Provide access to quality education for 25 girls living in rural areas

Yara LNC works in Niger to support and run the educational establishments created since 2006 to foster access to education for children from rural areas in the Zinder and access to training for out-of-school teenagers. Several factors act as obstacles to the education of young girls in rural areas, notably the large number of early marriages (88% in Zinder). The association’s programme, supported by the Air France Foundation since 2016, gives girls high-quality and lengthy education in a town. Once they have graduated, the girls can enter the labour market more easily. The association pays for school fees, educational support services, food and clothes for 25 girls from the boarding schools in Zinder, Niamey, Takiéta and Gangara.
