For almost a year, Air France customers have been able to drop off and check in their baggage at locations in Paris and the Paris region, prior to arriving at the airport. Now, the company is also offering a new baggage delivery service to an address in the greater Paris region on arrival of their flight.
These optional services are provided in partnership with Alltheway, which provides a secure baggage storage and transfer service to and from the airport. Before or after their trip, the company’s customers are able to travel light and with greater peace of mind, without having to worry about their bags.
New – a baggage delivery service on arrival
With Alltheway, Air France now offers its customers the new option of having their checked baggage delivered on arrival of their flight at Paris-Charles de Gaulle. Alltheway directly collects their baggage from the baggage carrousel in the “arrivals” hall and delivers it to their home address or to a location of their choice in Paris or the Paris region*.
Alltheway agents take charge of customers’ baggage and ensure its security at every stage of the process, while liaising with custom authorities. Customers can track their baggage at every step of the way. They no longer have to wait for their baggage on arrival, they are able to travel light and retrieve their baggage directly at their home or hotel.
The baggage is delivered between 6 and 12 hours after the flight’s arrival, depending on the baggage pick-up location and the customer’s preference, and costs from 65 euros for two bags, then 15 euros per additional bag. This service is available on all flights operated by Air France on arrival at Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
More easily accessible baggage drop-off points for customers prior to their arrival at the airport
Before the departure of their flight at Paris-Charles de Gaulle or Paris-Orly, Air France customers can drop off and check in their baggage directly from home, at the address of their choice* or at one of the many baggage drop-off points available.
This summer, new baggage drop-off points are now available in strategic, easy-to-access locations in Paris and the Paris region. This service is now available at the Gare du Nord train station**, the Wojo coworking space near Saint Lazare train station and the New York hotel at Disneyland Paris.
These new drop-off points are in addition to those already available in six ACCOR hotels - Novotel Tour Eiffel, Mercure Tour Eiffel, Novotel Les Halles, Pullman La Défense, Pullman Bercy and Novotel Paris-Est. Baggage drop-off is also available at the main exhibition sites for major trade fairs such as Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, Villepinte Exhibition Centre and the Palais des Congrès convention centre.
Alltheway takes charge of customers’ baggage*** at easily-accessible drop-off points and delivers them directly to the airline’s check-in desk at the airport. The baggage undergoes rigorous security checks at every stage of the process before being loaded onto the customer’s flight. From their Alltheway personal account, customers can track their baggage in real time to the airport.
This service is available from 30 hours up to 5 hours before the flight’s departure, depending on the baggage drop-off location, and costs 25 euros for one bag, then 15 euros per additional bag. It is available on all flights operated by Air France on departure from Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly, excluding flights to Tel Aviv.
*service available in départements 75, 92, 93 and 94.
** concierge desk, level -1.
***depending on the customer’s baggage allowance and excluding special or bulky baggage items (pushchairs, golf bags, etc.) and cages for animals travelling in the hold.
