Air France inaugurates its pop-up restaurant at the Palais de Tokyo tomorrow

Le Restaurant Air France au Palais de Tokyo

With a pop-up restaurant, exhibition space and collection of exclusive objects, an area spanning over 850m2 will be dedicated to the airline at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris from 27 July to 11 August 2024. This is a unique opportunity for visitors and sports fans from all over the world to explore the world of Air France and its unique travel experience, elegantly promoting French lifestyle during the world's biggest sporting event.

An Air France pop-up restaurant

Starting tomorrow, everyone is invited to discover the world of Air France at the Palais de Tokyo, a famous cultural institution in the heart of Paris located close to the venues hosting several Olympic events. Between two events or during a visit to the French capital, visitors of all ages will be able to access the site free of charge and wander at their own pace and convenience around an area spanning over 850m2 dedicated to the company.

At the centre of this vast space, the Air France pop-up restaurant will be opening especially for the occasion. Seating 80 guests, it will offer a unique fine-dining experience, ‘just like on board’. The pop-up restaurant will offer the same culinary delights as those usually served exclusively in Air France's long-haul Business cabin.

Triple Michelin-starred French chef Arnaud Lallement has created the tasty dishes on the restaurant's menu. With meat, chicken, fish and a vegetarian option, the dishes on the restaurant's menu in July will change in August. The desserts will feature culinary creations by Nina Métayer, recently voted ‘World's Best Pastry Chef 2024’ in the World's 50 Best Restaurants ranking. A selection of wines, champagne and a wide choice of alcoholic and soft drinks will also be available. Each French-style meal will include an appetizer, starter, main course, cheese and a dessert, and will be served in the tableware specially created for Air France by designer Jean-Marie Massaud, in an aviation-style setting integrating the airline's Business meal tray.

A unique opportunity to discover the Air France experience

In the exhibition areas, visitors will be able to admire the iconic red dress with a never-ending train, designed by Rabih Kayrouz and featured in the Air France brand video. They will also be able to try out the company’s latest Business cabin, equipped with a new sliding door and offering greater comfort and privacy. It will also be possible to visit the cockpit of an Airbus A350, the flagship of the airline's long-haul fleet, in a fun virtual reality experience.

Air France will also install large information screens to allow visitors to learn more about the company’s sustainable development commitments and understand what it is doing to decarbonise its activities, notably through the increased use of sustainable aviation fuel, fleet renewal, eco-piloting practices and intermodality.

There will also be a competition to win two long-haul tickets in Business class to a destination in the company’s network*.

New collections of items in Air France colours

In this area of the exhibition space, visitors will be able to discover a new collection of Air France-branded items, exclusively on sale at the Palais de Tokyo from tomorrow and also available at shopping.airfrance.com from 29 July, 2024. A selection of great souvenirs to mark the event!

Air France has teamed up with Weturn, a leading French company in textile recovery and recycling, and Lynx Studios, a specialist in circular and sustainable fashion, to create an original pair of sneakers in the airline’s colours. Made in Portugal, these sneakers were made from upcycled fabrics, initially intended for the renewal of seat covers on the Airbus A380 operated by Air France until 2020. “I used to be an airplane seat” sneakers, limited edition, exclusively available at the Palais de Tokyo, size 34 to 46, 179 euros.

A new range of collectible items also features Air France’s advertising campaign, designed to proudly welcome all the national delegates travelling to Paris and France for this special event. The campaign features a young woman wearing make-up in the colours of the French flag, accompanied by a welcome message from the 39,000 Air France staff. Range of “welcome to all fans” items, from 5.90 euros: magnet, mug, keyring, baggage tag, poster, t-shirt and tote bag.
