From June 20 to 22, during the public open days, the Air France teams were delighted to take part in the 2025 edition of the Paris Air Show — a not-to-be-missed event for aviation enthusiasts, industry professionals… and tomorrow’s talent!
At the Air France-KLM Group booth, Air France staff welcomed over 5,000 visitors who came to learn about our professions, speak with our teams, and explore career opportunities within Air France. Pilots, engineers, technicians, IT and HR experts — all shared their daily work with enthusiasm and authenticity, in a warm and engaging atmosphere.
In total, 128 Air France employees were mobilized to make this unique experience come to life. Eight conferences were also held, attracting around 400 participants — students, families, and professionals.
Strong Recruitment Needs to Meet the Challenges of Tomorrow
In 2025, Air France plans to recruit over 2,000 people (in permanent and apprenticeship contracts) across all areas of the company. This volume, consistent with previous years, reflects the airline's commitment to continue investing in skills and the future.
Recruitment needs are particularly high in aircraft maintenance, digital, flight operations, commercial roles, and support functions. This event offered candidates — both recent graduates and experienced professionals — the opportunity to discover the wide variety of careers available and to engage directly with those who bring them to life every day.
New Partnerships to Strengthen Relationships with Schools
In a rapidly evolving aviation sector, Air France signed four partnerships with higher education institutions, underscoring its commitment to support industry transformation, promote equal opportunities, and help shape the future with younger generations. These initiatives have the potential to reach more than 10,000 students.
With EPF Engineering School, Air France launched a professional integration chair focused on increasing female representation in scientific and technical fields. This partnership aims to foster gender equality, encourage diversity in recruitment, and build bridges between students and the corporate world through tangible actions: co-developing educational content, employee-led workshops, and support toward employment.
The “Digital Systems and Air Transport” chair signed with ISEP highlights an innovation-driven approach. By supporting the school’s educational, technological, and scientific initiatives, Air France aims to strengthen its talent pool in digital technologies — a key area for both maintenance and IT operations.
The renewed partnership with TBS Education reinforces Air France's presence in the Toulouse region and helps attract new talent in management, business, and support functions, closely aligned with the industry's evolving needs.
Finally, a partnership agreement was signed with Evering, an institute created by the University of Bordeaux in collaboration with Bordeaux INP. Building on the legacy of the Institute of Aeronautical Maintenance, this well-established partnership both parties’ commitment to further growing this collaboration.
Students Awarded for Their Commitment to Environmental Transition
On Friday, June 20, Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) also presented the IPSA Student Trophies, organized in partnership with the engineering school as part of a challenge dedicated to environmental transition.
Over the course of more than a month, student teams worked on two practical topics: sustainable transport in industrial zones and waste recycling and recovery. The goal of the challenge was to generate innovative and feasible ideas tailored to the company's operational needs.
Three finalist projects were recognized during the MRO Lab awards ceremony organized by Air France Industries, in celebration of their creativity and commitment. The three students who won the Grand Prize were offered a 4-month internship within Air France’s aircraft maintenance division to further develop their proposed solution.
