Every year, the "Pink October" campaign aims to raise awareness of the importance of breast cancer prevention, and to raise funds for research.
For the 8th year running, Air France salutes its teams’ mobilization alongside the association "Les hôtesses de l'air contre le cancer" to support this cause, encourage information sharing and share the right actions to take. Screening, in particular, makes it possible to detect cancers early and increase the chances of recovery with less severe treatment.
The association has also set up a group open to all, to discuss the disease, treatments, support, and procedures, as well as everyone’s personal stories.
During the month of October, several Air France "pink flights" took to the skies in solidarity with the fight against breast cancer. Dedicated teams – including flight crews, ground staff, ramp and support staff – were seen wearing pink ribbons to contribute to this awareness-raising campaign.
This special flight program included long-haul routes from Roissy to Boston, Cape Town, Denver and Saint Martin, as well as medium and short-haul flights to Porto, Zurich, London, Nice, Marseille, Fort-de-France, Point-à-Pitre and Cayenne.
