Every year since their creation in 2009, the "Travel d'Or™" (1) awards recognizes French internet users’ favourite brands in the tourism sector. At this 13th edition, Air France was awarded first prize in the "Airlines" category.

The airline was nominated among the 5 finalists following an online vote open from 14 February to 11 March 2022. A jury of experts (chaired notably by Frédéric Mazzella, Chairman and Founder of BlaBlaCar), selected the overall winners in each category at an awards ceremony held on 7 April 2022 at the Pavillon Gabriel in Paris.

The "Travel d'Or™" in the "Airlines" category was awarded to Henri Hourcade, SVP France at Air France-KLM, who said:

"Air France is honoured to be the winner in its category. This award shows that the work carried out by Air France teams and the digital strategy implemented by the airline meet our customers' expectations. We are delighted to see that in the eyes of the French public, the Air France brand is a guarantee of quality and that it has a powerful Internet channel.”

With 7 million qualified visits per month and 100 tickets sold every minute, the Air France website is one of the main e-commerce platforms in France. It is part of the company's multi-channel distribution strategy.

(1) The first completely independent award created by Frédéric Vanhoutte (founder of Eventiz Media Group), covering 10 categories: Airlines, Retail, Hotels, Tour Operators, Outdoor Accommodation, Foreign Tourist Offices, Marketing Campaigns, Cruise Lines, French Destinations and Leisure Parks.
